A clinical perspective on technology adoption
David Rhew, MD is Microsoft’s Global Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Healthcare. A physician with a background in computer science, he works at the intersection of clinical care and digital health. His public work addresses responsible healthcare AI, clinical decision support and expanding access to care.
Dr. Rhew earned his medical degree at Northwestern University and completed residency training at Cedars-Sinai, followed by fellowships in health services research and infectious diseases. His previous leadership roles include chief medical officer positions at Samsung and Zynx Health. His work brings together medical practice, research and technology implementation.
