Clinical AI, digital health and ophthalmology
Ranya Habash, MD, is an ophthalmologist and chief medical officer of Helfie AI. She cofounded the secure communication platform HipaaChat and previously served as chief medical officer of Everbridge. Her work spans clinical care, telemedicine and the application of AI to healthcare.
Helfie AI announced her appointment as chief medical officer in September 2025. Her experience brings a physician’s perspective to discussions about smartphone health tools, connected care and the practical challenges of moving technology into clinical use.
